U — Tuesday, March 3. 1964 REDLANDS DAILY FACTS New CUssici Leather slipons — smart and so comfortable for this easygoing spring — are avaUable in a wide assortment of finishes, colors and styles. There are side-gore slipons for a snug fit, slipons with strap treatments for elegance, tassel - tie slipons for fun. Good sports go for the highcut chukka and the kiltie - fringed brogue interpreted in grained, waxed, brushed and smooth leathers. Handsome and rugged, high-risers and kilties take their ease in city, suburb or countryside. • No man's wardrobe is complete without the leather oxford — in hot weather or cold. This spring, the oxford maintains its position with new styling details, including high-riding tongues, band-stitching effects and moc seaming. as the browns, are favored for dress wear. MODERN BROGUE Substantial to the eye but light on the foci, the leather brogue is a natural dress footnote to the stripes, glen plaids, checks and patterns that herald the return of Uie classic look in men's suitings. FiiUy leather- lined for comfort and set on a medium-weight leather sole, the brogue is a man's shoe — a modern man's shoe. Adding a distincilve touch to the formally-attired male are the sleek lines of the dress slip- on in polished smooth or fine­ grained leather.
