in Rodgers Misses Bus As Ramblers Arrive DALLAS, Dec. 30. It's old stuff to Mayor Wopdall Rodgers by now this missing football teams when they come to town. But for the record he failed to contact, at the appointed place, his third in less than a week today when the Randolph Field squad slipped into the city and reached the hotel before his honor could overhaul them and tell them how glad he was they had come here. Last week Mayor Rodgers couldn't catch up with the San Angelo and Lufkin teams when they arrived in Dallas for the state schoolboy final.

Anyway, the mayor and other city and civic officials went toward the city limits to greet the Randolph teams as it arrived for a Cotton Bowl game Saturday with Texas. The party passed the bus carying the squad in the middle of the Houston street viaduct. Rodgers and party quickly turned around and pursued the visitors, I catching them as they were un- eastern. AU hands agreed there wont be much need for the figure zero in keeping a running total when two teams which scored six touchdowns in a previous settp get together again on what probably will be a dry, f.asl field. Coach Bernie Moore of the thrice-beaten Louisiana Tigers forecast an exciting afternoon for the spectators who can find seats in the stadium.

Scores Expected "I'd say it will be a traditional Orange Bowl and long runs all over the field," he said. "The only trouble for us is that the Aggies should be doing most of it." "It will be a great game," said Coach Homer Norton. "We know LSU, and you can look for plenty of action and scoring." What worried both coaches were the psychological angles of the lirst bowl re-match of a regular- season game, won Oct. 9 by the Aggies, 28 to 13. Norton Worried "The hardest thing in football is to beat the same team twice," Norton declared.

"My boys feel too sure of themseh'es. It's a job to get them back at their peak. They were up there when they played LSU before." Moore has taken pains to dispel any defeatist feeling in the LSU ranks by stressing the advantages of knowing what to expect and of the lessons learned in absorbing the licking. Flanagan hurt the knee in the final game with the University of Texas and was unable to practice for several weeks.

Norton said Red Burditt would take over the running and passing duties. The Texas coach put hi boys through a stiff workout. He said they were listless after their long train ride and showed the effects of a sleepless night in a coach. Tiger Fasten The atmosphere at LSU's camp was brighter.
