Television A Anissa Jones Was Small For Age Q. Tell me more about Anissa Jones, who died. I loved her so much in "Family Affair." I can't believe it happened. Was she really 18? She looked so much younger. A.

Mary Anissa Jones was born March 11, 1958, in West Lafayette, lived in Charleston, W. before moving to Los Angeles when she was 5. (Her mother is of Lebanese descent, and Anissa means "little friend" in Lebanese.) Anissa has a younger brother and her parents were divorced before she started in TV. In 1965, when she was 6, she did her first TV, a commercial. A year later, she started "Family Affair." Anissa was small for her age, which isn't unusual among child actors.

TV likes to pick small kids with small parents. (The size of the parents indicates the child may not grow out of a role too fast.) Anissa's career stalled after "Family Affair" went off the network in 1971. Her death Aug. 29 was caused by a combination of drugs. "One of the worst cases of overdose I've ever seen," said a representative of the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.

Q. I say Lucille Ball must be closing in on 60. My dad insists she's 40. S.L. A.

Lucy'd love your dad. But how does he explain that her first movie was Eddie Cantor's "Roman Scandals" in 1933, and she wasn't a child star. She was born Aug. 6, 1911. CBS has "The Lucille Ball 25th Anniversary Special" in the works for Nov.

28. It will trace Lucy's TV career from that first "I Love Lucy" show in 1951 and among the guests will be former husband and co-star Desi Arnaz Sr. It'll be the first time they've appeared together since the divorce in 1960. Q. 1 noticed that ABC ran a movie they called "Sky Terror" back in September.

It starred Charlton Heston. I'm sure I saw the same film in the theater as "Skyjacked." Explain why and how ABC changed the name? K.G. A. Didn't fool you anyway. But that was part of the idea.

You see, NBC had scheduled "Airport '76," the 1974 biggie, to lead off its new movie season on Sept. 20. ABC decided the 1972 airline disaster movie, "Skyjacked," with a new title, might confuse some viewers; make others figure: seen Heston save one airplane, seen him save 'em all. There were 11 movies for the Astaire-Rogers team from 1933's Jones Heston "Flying Down to Rio" to 1949's "The Barkleys of Broadway."
