Week before last the commissioners of Greensborough held a meeting, at which they determined to assess neither Property nor; Pell Tax upon the Citizens of the Town for the ensuing year. We understand that the Corporation is out of debt, and has a surplus in the Treasury, a very comfortable reflection for these tight times.

In view of these circumstance, when the individual affairs of each citizen demand all his means and attention, the commissioners thought it best to lay no tax in addi tion to that which we are called upon to pay the State ond the county.
