the R. M. Fry ranch east of Hugo. At any rate, the Fry brothers are happier every day about getting that herd of Zato Heirs. The Hereford blood line is rising fast in popularity, and, kins men are setting records at sales throughout the United States.

Recently, In" Hunt County, J. V. (Punk) McNatt's sale of Zato stock set an all-time auction mark for Texas Herefords. Over four years ago, when Turner was at the Capitol, herdsm at his Hereford ranch selected 21 of the best bred cows for sale to Oklahoma Informed of the sale, Turner quickly put in his disapproval. For a state-supported institution to buy cows from the governor didn't have much popular appeal, regardless of the fact the cows were among the best to be found.

Anyway, the sale to the college was never completed. A Hugo man wound up with the herd, picked out by some of the best Hereford men in the state. Then, the Fry broth- ers bought the cows, and got their present herd bull, a Zato Heir, from one cows. Willis Fry took over management of the herd, the reins passed to Jarvis Fry, who heads the ranch operation at the present time. TWO HEADS.
