I asked him Confession Cleans Slate of Past Sins 'Use' our charge account or our distributed payment plans for easy payments However if you prefer you can discount the above price on this (and other) sofas another 10 by using our advance payment plan Yes this superb sofa value is 86" long in your choice of 68 solids stripes print Scotchguard fabrics It has 2 Urethane Dacron seat cushions and a generous number of deep French tufts inside back and arms Also has Bucram-lined kick pleated skirts "There was only one thing to my three dots at the beginning of the ad like this: better than 'Abie's Irish Rose'" It was my triumph of the season" In the past I left the little dotter with the remark "You have a fascinatingly morbid profession which I would not find enjoyable" As I moved off he repeated to himself with deep satisfaction: "Fascinatingly enjoyable" There was nothing the man couldn't do with phrases out of context But I suppose he can always get a job writing epitaphs for politicians' tombstones even in New York amazed to see an ad for this fiasco quoting him as calling It "gay and imaginative" and omitting to mention it was merely the scenic effects he applauded Now the New York Department of Consumer Affiars has adopted a new regulation barring the use of deceptive quotations in stage motion picture and book advertisements The little dots will no longer work especially when the ad suggests that a favorable comment applied to a minor portion of the show was used by the critic in an unrestricted way In the past a skillful dotter Like the ad that reads: 'Exciting Amusing' says Ma tilda Frump of the Evening Bugle" when Miss Frump's complete remark was "Exciting my contempt this play is amusing only in its unconscious triteness" Sometimes a critic will pan everything about a plot acting direction music singing dancing and find a kind word only for its scenery which is called "gay and imaginative" Two days later he Is By BILLY GRAHAM I have had a question on my mind for quite awhile I hope you can answer it The Bible says that God forgives and forgets our sins when we ask for forgiveness Will we be judged again for these sins at the Great White Throne on the day of judgment? Are we punished for our sins here on earth or after life is over? MHM Senior Forum -0 Zirmmemftsimm 1 El When we confess our sins to God the Bible says that He forgives us and that is the end of the matter If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness" I John 1:0 Christ took the penalty for sin which rightfully belonged to us When Christ came to all who accepted Him the gory alter of blood was changed into a "throne of grace" I heard of a man who came to the Lord for mercy and salvation and a ter ward he slipped and fell back into his old practices He fell upon his knees and said "0 Lord ray Pest sins have overtaken me again" But the Lord said "What sins?" You see they had been forgiven and the Lord had forgotten them And if He has forgotten them He can never judge us for them again Cy By PAUL HIGHTOWER My retired husband and I have traveled to 38 states by car and have learned how to save money We travel the secondary roads because we have the time and we don't care for the luxury motels A clean bed and shower are all we need We have a small ice cooler in the car and an electric coffee pot We can't cook in motels but we can make a cup of coffee and for breakfast we have that an orange and a roll we bought the day before We take off and at midday we stop in a park or small town have a cool drink and a sandwich from our cooler After that we shop for our next day's food then when we stop at a motel that night we go to a restaurant for a hot meal Mrs A Since the column appeared here suggesting $50 a day for a retired couple on the highway many travelers have protested and many have come in with letters like the above showing how costs can be held down Any day now some couple will drive by in a horse and buggy with a charcoal stove aboard and make faces at me The $50-a-day suggestion was admittedly for traveling the high road staying in the chain motels having all meals in restaurants and turning the wife loose on souvenirs If a retired couple has some cash hidden back or some good credit cards to take care of the emergencies that may arise on a long trip they obviously can beat $50 a day (If your question can be answered In this space send it in) ii re1" 7 AsTal I Me got 1 L'Ii 'V kCIVI rt e0 vy'11y) el 4'1 '9 fletil 1 ts I tiyA44 Vii 'ea IN laVintrall ecktenbur FURNITURE SHOPS INC 520 Providence Rd Charlotte WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAY NITES OPEN MONDAYS 0444 A 0.
