Alma, November 27. Harrison Sherman and Thomas McGaffin, had a quarrel yesterday morning over titles to the Kaw lands in this county. Sherman assaulted McGaffin with a cattle whip, whereupon the latter fired at him twice with a revolver, killing him almost instantly. Sherman was a young man and unmarried. McGaffin has a family.
