Charlie Jenkins of WXVW, Jeffersonville, succeeded Jerry Birge of The Herald, Jasper, as president of the organization. Valparaiso, St. Evansville and Indiana Central make up what is left of the Indiana Collegiate Conference.

The sports directors agreed to take the proposed constitution back to school officials and to give reports on reaction at their schools to the president of the ICC by May 3. Schools agreeable to forming the new conference would then set another meeting. A spokesman said the group hopes to have a partial conference schedule in effect beginning this fall. The conference, which as yet has no name, would evenually have competition, in all major sports except basketball, where NCAA division and NAIA membership pose problems. The Land Bank The American farmer builds two things better than anyone else in the world.

He builds the next generation, passing along a special kind of respect for the soil, honesty, independence, and faith in the future. And he builds his land, leaving it better than he found it. That kind of building usually requires borrowed long term capital. Thats where we can help.
