B. One of the saddest incidents ever recorded in the an nals of railroad disasters was the death of Mrs. Baucaus, a handsome young bride of Saratoga. Her body was horribly bruised and tho skull crushed. A two year old child of the Stewarts, of Rochester, who were among the killed, is being cared for here, and calls constantly for its father.

Mr. Baucaus, of Saratoga, a lawyer, whose wife was killed, is at the hospital here in a state of frenzy, bordering on insanity. The doctors say it will be a miracle if he ever recovers his reason. In the last tiay coach were a man and his wife and a baby child, hich had a miraculous escape, but both the parents, the Stewarts, were killed. They were found pinned dow and crushed by the timbers.

Joseph D. Barker and wife, of Boston, were in the forward sleeper. The former was slightly injured, but Mrs. Barker was badly and doubtless fatally crushed. Mr.

and Sirs. Baueaushad been spending their honeymoon and had been married only a few weeks. When the accident occurred, Mrs. Baucaus was pinioned in tlie Her husband was injured about the legs and head, but his pains were nothing to him as compared with the agony he felt for his wife. She was brought into the sleeper, when extricated, and doctors Thompson, of Angolia, and Lynde and Greene, of Buffalo, at once did all in their power for her relief, but she remained unconscious.

Meantime, her husband was stretched on another scat, with two doctors working over him. The poor man seemed indifferent to his own sufferings, and every few minutes jumped up from the seat to get a look at his wife, who was rolled up in blankets and lay stretched across a double seat. The doctors restrained him by keeping him constantly informed of her condition, but the suspense was too much for him. The wretched man jumped up, brushed the doctors asidt, and folded his arms about the dying woman, "She's cold," he cried, glancing pitifully at the physicians. "No, she's living yet," answered one of them.

The devotion of the broken hearted husband was touching in the extreme. He refused to be led away and clung to the side of his unconscious wife, kissing her bleeding lips andurging on the doctors to further efforts to save her life. The wounded woman died, however, at "2:30 o'clock, as the train was slowly moving into Buffalo, One of the victims ha.s been identified as J. A. Flyn, Canton, a travelling man fr Louton Bros.

A relict and wrecking train, sent to the scene of vester day's disaster on the Lake Shore road near Hamburg, returned to this city about 3 o'clock this afternoon, and was met by a large and anxious crowd.

It brought the lirst delinite particulars of the disaster. The Fitch ambulances and a corps of surgeons were also in waiting and the work of transferring the injured persons to the hospital was quickly accomplished. It is learned that ail those who were seriously injured were in the front part of the Pullman car nearest the engine. NEWS FROM LONDON. Abraham Lincoln's Funeral A Horrible Story From Moscow. London, March 7.

A horrible story comes from Moscow showing how the Nihilists seek to maintain their conspiracy of terror. A mysterious package was left at the ollicial residence of prince Governor General of tho city and Province of Moscow. It was found to contain a woman's head and a letter ill which the writer says he will yet out do the deeds of Jack the Hipper. The remainder of the body discovered was cut in pieces and packed in two sucks. The corpse is believed to be that of a Nihilist traitress.

Largo numbers of arrests have been made, persons suspected of Nihilism being instantly taken into custody wherever found. The funeral of Abraham Lincoln took place at the residence of the American Minister this morning. The services were private. Dcsides the members' of the family Col. In regard to the application for a receiver for the Seattle, Like Shore Fast ern railroad, Mr. Kerr said that it was simply a bluff. Tho road is all right, he declared, and ill soon be completed to the Canadian border.

The Canadian Pacilic lacks but twelve miles of track and one bridge to bring the road to the international boundary. ithout say ing so directly, the ollicials gave the impression that if the La' Shore road conW he pushed to completion, it would be taken in hand by the Canadian Pacilic. The Canadian Pacilic wants a slice of the Sound country business and can't get it without coming to Tacoina.
