No May Day Parade BERLIN (UPI) East Germany this year, for the first time, will not hold a May Day parade, the official newspaper Neues Deutschland said Tuesday.

The newspaper said the traditional military parade will be held instead on Oct. 7, the anniversary of the founding of the East German state.
