It was not until a week later that Styles dropped his newest single, With the theme of his new music being sex and sadness, this single completely resonates the topic.

His sin- gle is already reaching 4 million streams on Spotify and skyrocketing to No. 1 on the iTunes single chart only within 24 hours of its release. Along with dropping the single, Styles released an amorous video with it. The music video already racking in more than 12.6 billion views. In the video, Styles is half-clothed, standing amongst a crowd of men and women, also half-dressed, as they writhe around him.

In another scene, Styles is clothed in an extravagantly colored suit, suspend- ed over a mirror image of himself half- dressed in a pool of hazy water. In the next, Styles riding on the back of an motorcyclist with his hands outstretched, red hues spotlight- ing his face as he rides into the dis- tance. As the video switches between cuts of Styles in various locations, it is in the crowd of men and women that he strug- gles to maintain his serious composure. With his mystifying lyrics of stepping into a new light and never returning to who he once was, listeners presume he can only be alluding more to his sexual- ity coupled with the release date of the single being National Coming Out Day. In this wistful single, Styles creates a track completely from his pre- vious album. His album was very intimate and more instrumental based.

If this single is any indication of his up- coming album, fans can expect sophomore album to be much more haunting, eluding more to his sexuality and the sentiment attached to it.
