It's In the meanwhile he has no pretentions about himself or his career much to learn and an image to be built and satisfied that this will take time "Fortunately no matter how hard it is to keep going in a series there's compensation in being able to work with great guys like Ray and the rest of our cast We have a happy set and that matters a lot in this Bill who got his early draT-matic wait until his career has blossomed more fully Bill Bixby tr till busy ommendation would be made to the headquarters in Washingto said Johns "and that we could expect a decision one way or the other within a few The proposal had to go to the FAA because that agency is responsible for air traffic safety where any structure of extraordinary height is involved THE FAA is one of three hurdles which confront Coral in its effort to get its tower up The first was the Metro Zoning Appeals Board Coral scored there on Jan 13 when tlie board approved the antenna site in Biscayne Bay south of Key Biscayne on underwater land leased from the state at $100 a year However Coral could encounter a setback Metro Planning Director Reginald Waiters and Zoning Director Robert Cook are appealing the decision to the Metro Commission on Feb 18 Assuming Coral weathers this situation and wins FAA approval of the tower the third hurdle is the Federal Communications Commission FCC rules are that stations of like channel number must be separated by 220 miles proposed tower location would place it slightly over five miles short of the required separation from Channel 6 Coral will have to seek an FCC waiver of its rules in this case If one or all three of these obstacles aren't removed Coral may be forced to return to its original plan of putting up a tower merely 339 feet in height on Ragged Key No 4 just north of Islandia in the south bay Even here there could be trouble The city of Islandia consisting of some 19 registered voters has decided it doesn't want the tower there Coral would have to fight for the site To say that future station WCIX is hexed is putting it mildly 4 Martian 9 Actor Vacationing Here DINERS in the Dupont Plaza Hotel's Bayview Room scarcely recognized
