2 Ludington Daily News, Tuesday, October 12, 1976 Navy Band To Perform The United States Navy Band, under the direction of Cmdr. Ned Muffley, will hold two concerts on Friday, Oct. 22, at the A. 0. Carlson Gymnasium in Mason County Central High School.

The band will perform at 1:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $1 to students and senior citizens and $3 for all other at Harbor Pharmacy, Nichols Drugs, Schulte Thompson and the State Savings Bank of Scottville. The concert will last about two hours and the band will play a wide range of numbers ranging from jazz to symphony music. Rowe St. 845-5188 2 Shaken When Car Rolls Edward Stevens IB, of route 1 Custer, and a passenger in his car, Fred Christmas, 18, of route 1 Scottville, both received minor injuries when the vehicle rolled over several times after Stevens swerved to miss a deer. Neither required hospital treatment. The vehicle was extensively damaged.

Stevens was cited for violation of the basic speed law, driving too fast for conditions. Dog May Have Been Stolen Lorraine Ostrander of route 1, Metsenheimer Road, Ludina- ton, reported to Mason County Sheriff's Department that her German shepherd puppy was apparently stolen from outside the Ostrander residence Sunday night or early Monday. The dog, black and grey, wearing a brown halter with silver studs and answering to the name Cannon, had been tied up along with another dog. The other dog was still in the yard but had somehow been unleashed. Sheriff's investigation continues.

Mishap On Rath In the 1,000 block of North Rath Avenue at 8:52 a.m. Monday, Beat cars driven by Sherry Fuller of Anderson Court and Sally Taranko of 1019 N. Rath collided when the Tartvnko vehicle attempted to turn In front of the Fuller vehicle Into a driveway, Sally Taranko was cited by city police for failure to yield the right of way. Vehicle damage was minor. No injuries were reported.

Wheel Cover Stolen On Gaylord Avenue JhSw 6 of 21N Gaylord Ave re rted to police Monday that a plastic cover for a spare tire was stolen from his camper at his residence Sunday night. Florence McKinnon, 85, of St. Petersburg, and formerly of Ludington, died this morning at St. Joseph's Hospital west in Mount Clemens. She was the former Florence King of Ludington born Dec. 4, 1890.

She was married to John McKinnon on June 30, 1920, and he died in January of 1973. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Jack (Irene) Lennon of Grayling, Mrs. Inez Barry of Alden, Mrs. Ralph (Irma) Phillips of Bellaire, Mrs.

Donald (Ilia) Thiel of Saginaw, and Mrs. Edward (Ida) Fillian of Sterling Heights; two sons Ronald of Mount Clemens and Clifford of Bay City two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Lucille) Morton and Mrs. Horothy Hilden, both of Ludington; two brothers, Leonard King of Ludington and Milton King of Minneapolis, several grandchildren and several great grand- childron, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by her parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Alva King; three brothers, Clarence, Harold and David; and one sister, Thressa. The funeral for Mrs. McKinnon will be held Friday at Pauleen Funeral Home in Mancelona. Ludington Band Pageant Program 1 The Ludington Band Pageant Program will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Those attending must be accompanied by an adult, who is asked to remain in the library during the story time which will last 15 to 20 minutes.
