Inaugurated in 1976, the Circus Circus-Nevada cookoffs have produced three world champions and now more competitors than any other chili cookoffs anywhere.

Approximately 200 entries are anticipated this year, many backed up by their own zany support teams and rooting squads. Chili fans from throughout the nation attend this event, to share in the hoe-down style family fun-fest and to sample some of the worlds best chili.
