CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES Matter is the subject of the Lesson-Sermon on Sunday in all branches of The Mother Church, The First Ohurch of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Mass The Responsive Reading includes citations from Ecclesiastes: I made me great works; I builded me houses I gathered me also silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings and of the provinces: Then I looked on all the woiks that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do1 and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun. Then I saw that wisdom excelled folly, as far as light excel-leht darkness. Among the Scriptural citations in the Lesson-Sermon is the exhortation of Paul to the Galatians, Stand fast therefore the libel ty wherewith Christ hath made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage One of the passages fiom Science and Health with Key to the Scnptuies, by Mary Baker Eddy, says in part Mortals must look beyond fading, finite forms, if they would gain the true sense of things Where shall the gaze rest but in the unseaichable realm of Mind?
