He is survived by his loving partner, Susan Hamilton, his parents Betty and Mervin, his son Jon Northup (Rachel, Liam and Moira), sisters Susan (Dwayne) and Christine (Kevin), brother Blaine (Darlene), niece Ashley (Tyler, Nixon and Madden), nephew Jason (Violet, Preston and Parker), and many friends. He was predeceased by his nephew Joel. Ken graduated from Vernon Senior Secondary, SFU and Gonzaga U. He taught elementary school in Princeton for 16 years and was the principal of Bella Coola Elementary for 5 years.

He negotiated the first collective agreement for the Princeton Teachers Union. Ken enjoyed old cars, music and travel. His pleasure in athletics was limited by his diagnosis of MS in 1991. He supported MS research and worked to improve accessibility in Princeton. He appreciated the care he received from his physician, Dr.

Black, the other hospital employees, his care aides and the Home Care nurses. A celebration of life will be held in January. O'CALLAGHAN, David August 26, 1 952 December 5, 201 9 David O'Callaghan, 67, died on Dec, 5, 2019 after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Loved and missed dearly by his wife Mary, children Jacqui (Mark) and James, grandchildren Harris, Winston, and Nelson as well as family and friends. Born in Clonmel, Ireland on Aug.

26, 1952, he immigrated to Vancouver in 1955 with parents David and Mae, and siblings Kitty, Frances, Sheila, Michael, Peter; later joined by Denise and Donough. He devoted his life to education, including nearly two decades at the Xet olacw Community School. Obituaries CAROSELLA (MORRISON), Sheila Elizabeth Jun.14, 1939 -Dec. 16, 2019 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sheila Carosella, survived by her husband of 60 years Frank and her 4 children, Mark (Teresa), Gary (Joan), Dean (Evi) Angela. Her Grandchildren, Travis, Katie (Clayton), Colton (Lauren), Nick, Hayden, Francesca, Giovanna, Elizabeth and Shawn, 1 great granddaughter Emery.

Sheila was born in Watson, SK before moving to Sooke, BC as a child where she met and started her life with Frank. We would like to thank the staff at Willow Manor Maple Ridge for making her last few months as comfortable as possible. She will be greatly missed, --V i m4 1n'i(4jfl SPADARI, Maria October 5, 1925 December 13, 2019 On December 13, 2019, at Hunter and the angels came to take Nonna to a special place to be reunited with her husband Lino, family, and friends that she so loved and missed. In her life Maria experienced the trauma of losing her mother at an early age, the brutality of WWII, and the challenge of immigrating to a new country with hope for a better future. She faced her medical issues with courage, determination and dignity.

She was grateful for every day that God granted her. Maria leaves a legacy of love to her family. She was there for Paola and Ivan when they needed her, present and active in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a caring and generous friend. She was a woman who moved with the times, she always looked chic in the latest fashions and loved her red Trans Am.

Her husband Lino, son in law Joe, and granddaughter Hunter predecease Maria. She is survived by daughter Paola, son Ivan (Kalpana), grandchildren Lawrence, Richard (Francesca), and Stephanie, great grandchildren Richard, Emma, and Victoria, sisters Ida and Bruna, brothers Nibe (Maureen) and Gino, and many nieces and nephews. Paola, Ivan, and Kalpana would like to express their love and appreciation to the wonderful ladies who looked after Nonna with such love and kindness; Liz, Sanny, Honie, Stephanie, Amy, Cherry, and Meryl. A very special thank you to Dr.Luigi Salvino for coming by and checking up on mom whenever I called and for his kindness and compassion. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Parish on December 23, 2019 at 1030am.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Children's hospital in Maria's memory. "I have competed well, I have finished the race: I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4) Bye Mom. We love you. HUGHES (NEE: MYLES), Joan 1929-2019 Joan was born in New Brunswick where she met the love of her life, James (Jim) Hughes. Jim convinced Joan to move the family, Sandra, John, and Kathy (Greg) to BC to experience the west coast.

Joan was a devoted daughter to her parents, Lawrence (Laurie), and Hilda, a loving life partner to Jim, and the BEST mother and grandmother imaginable. Joan spent 22 years working at Sears in Richmond where she met many life long friends. Joan and Jim moved from Richmond to Ocean Park 8 12 years ago to be closer to family. Together, they spent many a day enjoying their home and especially Rosie, their beloved Boston Terrier. Joan will be missed by her family for all of eternity.

A very special thank you to the caring staff of Crescent Gardens. No service by request. MEYER, Susan Margaret Oct. 9, 1937 -Nov. 18, 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Meyer on November 18, 2019.

Susan was born to Tresyhair and Mildred Jeffree on October 9, 1937 in Vancouver. Predeceased by her parents, by her husband of 35 years Rudolf Meyer, and survived by her sister Jane and family and friends. Susan took great pleasure as an active Alumnae of Crofton House and UBC. Following graduation from UBC she was a dietician for many years at Vancouver General Hospital and UBC. She was an avid golfer, swimmer, badminton player, and patron of the arts.

Susan loved her pet cats and was always generous to strays in need. No service by request. CONEDERA, Giovanni Jun.7, 1925 -Dec. 13, 2019 In loving memory and with heavy hearts we honour the passing of Giovanni Conedera (Gianni), a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife and companion of 65 years, Lilie; his daughter Loree and son Garry; his grandchildren James, Tyler and Meghann; and his four great grandchildren.

Gianni was born in Agordo, Belluno, Italy in 1925. He immigrated to Canada in 1951 and built a family and life in British Columbia, retiring from Lefarge Cement after 30 years of exemplary service. Throughout his life he was an avid gardener and was known for his extraordinary tomatoes. A loving, caring, generous, and honourable man. He was and will continue to be loved and missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him.

He was one of the truly great guys. At his request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will follow at a future date. yuii nrirl uilij ti 1 1 1 n-1 1 Ihiil.
