to become the first Negro to be graduated from a Charlotte white school Only one other Negro was en rolled at a white school although there had been eight applications from Negroes to go to white schools Dolores Waterman was a student at Garinger High school and the school board has assigned her there for next year No Negroes have so far been assigned to any county white schools Open wide and
