Valley basketball win last night The Cougars who had to rally 51-46 win in their first meeting found their opponents a little flat in the early stages and were only challenged briefly in the third period Del Campo built a 29- 21 halftime cushion but saw it vanish during a third period cold spell in which the Broncos rallied to tie the game at 32-all with 2:55 left But that was as close as the Broncos came as the Cougars hit for 10 straight Steve Lackey the Cougars' 7-foot pivotman who has been averaging 25 points a game could only garner 15 Rival Bel Lange also hot for 15 Coach Eli McCullough noting the Cougar could wrap up the CVC with three more wins said he cautioned his team not to become overconfident in the closing weeks "I reminded them of what happened to the
