The fourth parcel on which the original house stands will have its main entrance on Oak Grove, according to Barnett. There also is an entrance to the mansion from Rosalind road. However, another authoritative source said the main entrance to the former Bartlett mansion would be from Rosalind road and that the estate was being parceled into five estate properties. At the time of the auction of the two-story mansion and its park-like grounds, it was rumored that Nauert had handled the transaction for Van Nuys.

Mrs. Van Nuys refused to confirm the rumor at that time, saying the sale speaks for itself. The Van Nuys, who live at 975 Orlando road, San Marino, are not expected to move into the Bartlett residence, it was learned. Upkeep on the palatial home and grounds in its present state is estimated at $2000 a month, including taxes of $6306.40 annually.
