UNDERWOOD Underwood Named To Insurance Post Announcement of the election of Arch S. Underwood, president ot the Texas Compress and Warehouse company, Lubbock, as a director, and reading of the association's annual report by its president, F. Allen, Dallas, featured a policyholders luncheon of the Texas Employers' Insurance association at the Hilton hotel today noon. D. D.

Redman, vice president, presided at the luncheon, attended by approximately 150 policyholders. W. A. (Bill) Black, manager of the Lubbock office, was official host. In his report, Allen pointed out that earned premiums of the Texas Employers' Insurance association increased $4,176,277.96 during 1948 to reach an all-time high of $14,148,668.58.

Net income for the year, after providing incurred losses, operating expenses and taxes, amounted to Dividends paid to policyholders during 1948 on their 1947 earned premiums, plus guaranteed cost discounts deducted for 1948 premiums, amounted' to $2,666.105,12.
