YORK (AP) The sudden emergence of a two-price system for gold has placed the nation's three largest gold-mining concerns in a sales dilemma The new system permits the mining companies to seek the highest bidder for gold Previously they sold almost exclusively to the government at $35 an ounce "We have no sales organization" said a spokesman for the Newmont Mining Co operators of the Carling Nev gold mine NeWmont Homestake Mining and Kennecott Copper are the three largest domestic gold producers They turned out about 16 million ounces of gold last year Plans Uncertain Spokesmen for the three companies say their future gold-mining plans are still uncertain because of the unsettled gold-pricing situation Homestake which operates the largest domestic gold mine at Lead SD says it is making no plans for expanded production until a two-market price level is established "We're trying to make ar'rangements to see what we will do" said a Newmont spokesman "We've had several calls and
