Astaire Slings a Wicked Hoof in His Latest Film "Top Has Music by Irving Berlin, Four Comics and Handsome Ginger Rogers in Back at Met. BY ROBERT B. PHILLIPS, JR. YOUR very good friend, the milkman, Is going to get up, and not so slowly walk away from his wagon when "Top hits the town on Sunday. If he pays reverent homage to the smoothest hoofer America ever produced, and who he will be found parking hit bottles under a chair at R-K-O while Fred Astaire whips through a sand dance, a top-hat routine and an energetic adaptation from the old Italian masters enwuea uic ntuuunu.

There are other items in the latest Astaire-Ginger Rogers cinema, pre- Viewed in a pleasantly dark room yesterday. To the really rabid Astaire fans they matter much. For those who as children were raised on gags and never broke the habit, the picture has Edward Everett Horton, Helen Broderick (lately of Thousands and a highly improbable gentleman named Eric Blore, whose Impersonations of whimsical butlers are in best British tradition.
