Newlyweds Can Travel In Style How much do honeymooners spend? 'The average honeymoon couple spends about double the national average for holiday travel -about $428 a couple report the travel consultants of the N.C. State Motor Club. Their survey shows that honeymooners generally travel deluxe about 17 per cent by plane, 8 per cent by train, 4 per cent by boat and the rest mostly by private automobiles. of two million honeymoon couples this year, 96.5 per cent already have or will take trips, the survey indicates. Since a honeymoon is often the most important a couple will make in their lives, the motor club's travel experts suggest that it should be planned especarefully and that a special effort should be made to take the trip in easy stages.

Since this is a trip they will want to live over in memory, they'll want to be sure to take along a camera or two for color slides and or movies. Honeymooners, of course, won't want to take along with them, but all their folks will be happy to see the pictorial record of their trip. It's fun to take pictures of each other. And a bystander is always ready to take pictures of the two together. Miss Wilson Is Honored At Coffee Mrs.

If you need new tree lights, let me suggest that before you buy you take a look at the newest concept in decorative Lights." With them you will be able to achieve stunning effects never before possible. The editors of House and Garden magazine deplored the unsightly, ungainly cord on ordinary tree lights.

Working with Silvestri Art Manufacturing they designed strands which are pretty from tip to plug since the cords are as decorative as the lights themselves. We photographed a few to show you today. At the top is a green cord with red and white plastic poinsettias, next a silken cord of gold and white with gold tassels, then a rope of silvery tinsel 1 with snowflakes, fourth is a plastic rope with red and white candy stripes and finally a garland of red and white felt flowers. Others are available with roses, stars and holly motifs. Some of the designs can be used at other seasons -they make splendid garden lights for patio parties.

With the exception of the felt flowers and the silk tassels, they are all plastic and weatherproof. The candy stripe rope can even be immersed in a pool! How would you like it it he were a genius? "It's not easy," says Mrs. Regina Fischer of Brooklyn.

Her 15-year-old son, Bobby, is a genius at chess. He won the United States championship at 14 and became the youngest international Grand Master in history this summer. His one dream is to snatch the world chess crown from the present champion, Russia's Mikhail Botvinnik. One of Mrs. Fischer's definitely "not easy" moments came this summer when Bobby appeared to be stranded in Yugoslavia after his first international tournament.

NO RESERVATION "He had a round trip ticket, but nobody made any reservations for him and he couldn't get a plane. I knew he'd spent most of his money at the World Fair in Belgium and I was afraid the Yugoslav Chess Federation wouldn't go on paying for him after the tournament had ended. "I went to the Yugoslav Embassy but it was the weekend and I couldn't find anybody. I tried to call Bobby, but they said he had left by train. "I was really worried.

I knew he was loaded down with books and I didn't see how he could manage. He doesn't speak the languages. I could just see him sleeping in a train station somewhere and people stealing every. thing he had." But Bobby used his tournament prize money to get to Munich where he found plane space home. GAME NOT POPULAR Chess is not a popular game and there are no funds to send the American champion to tournaments.

Bobby won two tickets to Yugoslavia on a television program. His 21-year-old sister, Joan, took the second. "Bobby doesn't like the idea of his mother going around with him to tournaments. Besides, I figured it would be better for me to be here in case anything was needed-money, primarily." She laughted ruefully--a slender, dark-haired woman with a smiling mouth in a gamine face. The Fischers separated when Bobby was 2 and Mrs.

Fischer raised her two children HANDS; Rough, Smoothed, Red, Cracked Comforted Skin by Soothed, Super-Landlated RESINOL MECKLENBURG Furniture on her earnings as a nurse. "I don't discipline Bobby. He's too big. Anyway, there's not much to say. He comes home and sitcks his nose in a chess book, stops to eat, and he's back again until it's time to go to bed.

FOR BLOOD "Bobby's one of the ones who play for blood as they say in chess, He's serious. He has to study all the time. The countries publish pamphlets and books at a great rate--new openings always being worked out. "He's not interested in girls yet--they don't play chess. He doesn't smoke or drink.

He does chew his nails down to the bone, but I'm afraid to make him stop. I don't know what he might take up. "Some of these chess players twitch all over. Honest. They start with an eye and twitch down to their feet and start again.

I'd rather he chewed his nails." "The only thing I do is nag him to get some fresh air. This year he's joined the and say's he's going to get in better physical shape. "He used to be wonderful at sports--in fact, he himself used to say he wanted to be a baseball player. "I don't know about chess. In fact, I to make trichin him stop for four years.

But I've given up now." Fresh Packed Salmon THE Stute FINEST QUALITY ALWAYS Sharon WC The East Sharon Park Women's Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow with Mrs. Robin V. Singleton, 4800 Harcourt Lane. The Rev.
