Little Scott Fraser became West Lafayette's first traffic death since Sept. 15 r 1962, when he died, in a hospital this morning of injuries sustained late Monday when he was hit by. a car near his home. The driver was identified as Mrs. Marian Paradiso, 45, West Lafayette, wife of a school board member. Ray Powry, 31, R. R. 1, Cedar Lake, was fatally injured Tuesday night when a car struck him as he walked along a Lake County road near Cedar Lake. He died two hours later in St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond. The driver of the car, Fred Wachter, 43, R. R. 1, Cedar Lake, told officers he started to pas another car when he saw Powry walking toward him in the middle of the lane.
