southeastern jurisdictional conference of the Methodist church John Brans-comb of Orlando Fla was assigned Saturday to the Jacksonville Fla area which also includes the Cuba conference Bishop Roy Short who Homer Floyd Marsh one of the fcsst known medical educators in the South was named associate liean of the new University of Miami medical school Saturday His appointment was announced Jointly by Dr Bowman Ashe University president and Dr JRalph Sappenfield president of the Dade County Medical Association For the past 11 years Pean Marsh has been dean of the University of Oklahoma medical crhonl and professor of bacteriology He will assume his duties In Miami as soon as possible A native of Indiana Dean Marsh was graduated from the Indiana State Teachers College He took his master's degree at Perdue and his doctorate in bacteriology at Ohio State University His entire teaching career has been at Oklahoma "Dean Marsh is an able medical administrator and a man of science" Dr Ashe
