Editor of The Bee The Arab League through its members has given the free world many false impressions of Israel and the Arab refugee problem I would like to give the facts about how these Arabs got into their present situation Part of the strategic plans for the Arab invasion of Palestine in early 1948 was an order for the Arab population there to be temporarily evacuated into the neighboring countries The purpose was to clear the villages and roads for the anticipated advance of the Arab armies and make it easier to exterminate the Jews The flight of Arabs from Israel was intensified by the rout of the Arab forces since the Palestine Arabs had been led to believe that Israel would be destroyed within a few weeks Neverthless over 100000 Arabs remained in Israel where they now enjoy full citizenship rights By natural increase and the admission of relatives the number has grown to over 200000 Israel has offered to pay compensation for the cultivated land abandoned by the refugees provided the assets sequestered by the Arab governments from their Jewish subjects prior to their immigration be taken into account It also has offered to cooperate in the resettlement of the refugees in Arab countries which have large reserves of cultivable land However the Arabs refuse to cooperate in any constructive manner The Arab nations want to keep the refugee problem an open sore as an affront against the United Nations and a weapon against Israel DAN JACOBSON 4110 Crestwood Way held at 1 PM Tuesday in the Morgan Jones Funeral Home for Erskine Hobbs 5 year old boy who tumbled into answering David in The Bee a condition in which death is an Yes the soul of man is immortal and this is not without scriptural backing Death must indeed come to the body of every man I am sure our common sense will tell us this Even Christ experienced death in its most real form The immortality of soul is talked about in many ways and in many places in the Scriptures but to find them you will have to look for more than just the one word immortality We who speak the English language certainly should be aware there is always more than one way to state any given fact Of all these statements It would seem that f'uny man is taking an awful ot for granted One would think that all the great uni- verse was made for the sole purpose of providing new frontiers for man to conquer fight over Next to the ownership problem the first thought to enter the human cranium is the possibility of gaining vast mineral wealth Not only has man exploited the min- eral wealth of the earth but he must carry exploitations right on up to the moon And who really benefits? Could it be only a choice few? Not only does man expect to reach the moon in all his greediness but he fully in- tends td take his bloody wars 1 frith him What glorious "expectations! Men cannot get along on the earth with each other so they must fight over outer space too In the first place man was created out of the dust of the earth and was warned that if he failed to live in har- mony with his Creator's ways he surely would die and go right back to that very same dust But still man sets his ideas far above the Almighty I standards and goes merrily on his way to certain destruction Right now he has this earth in a mess and I wants to dash off into space and do his utmost to ruin all I he can out there Man is taking a lot to him- self to even entertain the 5 idea that he has any right to carry on his exploitations in I the outer reaches that do not 5 belong to him Or does man think he is so great that he can take away the soverpign- tv of the universe from Al-mighty God?
