Mrs- 0. W. Brock, living one mile southeast of town, died last Saturday nigbt; aged about 60 yean. Bishop Fink, of Learenwortb, confirmed a hundred and twenty persona at the Catholic church of this city last Sunday. A strawberry festival will be held at the Baptist church Wednesday evening, to which an admission fee of 5 cents will be charged.

The city Is overrun with strumpts, who boldly jostle people along the main business streets and drive buggies through the streets at a reckless speed. The little girl who sang and played so sweetly on the guitar at the Mi to social last Wednesday evening was Miss Bertha Stearns, daughter of B. A. Stearns. The farm house of Charles Downs, two miles north of town, was struck by lightning during the storm last Saturday night.

Several were in the house at the time, but fortunately none of them were Injured. Elijah Williams and Georgo Hender son, aoouple of colored individuals, hod a fracas yesterday morning, in which George drew a revolver and shot at Elijah, but missed him. Williams was arrested and a warrant is out for Hen derson. Freddie Mills, little son of N. F.

Mills, while carrying a lighted lamp in the third story of the brick building north of and adjoining The Sun office, on 8unday night, accidentally let the lamp fall, and but for the prompt tinguishment of the flames a serious fire might have resulted. There are thirteen cases on the crimi nal docket of the May term of the dis trict court, which convenes at Oswego next Monday, seven of which are of parties indicted by the grand jury for violating the prohibitory law; two are for murder; one for passing counterfeit money, and the balance for minor offenses. Cortina's Wild West Show exhibited on the fair grounds yosterday afternoon to an audience numbering fully two thousand people. The exhibition was novel and interesting.
