T. Jardine the United States Forest service, reached Wallowa, March 13, from -ton, D. C. Mr. Jardine is en- Raged in the experimental work, along the Hoes of forage investigations that la beta carried on hv th forest service and the bureau or Plant Industry acting in -co-operation.

During the past month Mr. Jardine has visited lambing camps on the deserts or Arizona. The season this far has ben an excellent one there, most of the shearing is over and the wool marketed for a good price, some of it as hlsh as 22 cents a pound. The desert lambing will be over by March 20 and sheep men expect to reach between 90 and 100 per cent lamb crop. Mr.

Jardine will go soon to the lamblne camna on Snake river, for the DnrnnBn nf continuing a comparative or sheep lambing oa outside range, and lambing under the pasturage system. Later in the season, he will conduct thn experimental Investigations at the coyote-proof pasture on the Chesnlm-nus section or the Wallowa rorest.
