Twelve members answered roll call. Shirley McCollum reported on the Guest Day which will be held April 12 with women from Manilla and Gray as invited guests. Jean Garner, the foreign exhange student, will be the guest speaker. A quilt-o-rama, sponsored by the Carroll County Extension Service, will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Carroll on April 19. Anyone who is interested should contact Mrs. Jenny Sebring. Shiela Aylor presented the lesson and devotions on the Easter story. The May 3 meeting will be at the home of Beulah Fink with Betty Ohm as co-hostess. The chairman, Wave Lorenzen closed the meeting with an article on the resurrection. The United Presbyterian Women met at the church on April 5. Viola Karstens gave the devotions entitled "Eternal Life, Eternal Joy." The Spring Presbyterial will be held at Buena Vista College in Storm Lake on April. 17, and a number of women plan to attend. Dorothy Sharp gave the quarterly committee report, reporting on the Frank Ehrich and Elsi Moore funeral luncheons. The meeting closed with a prayer. Lunch hostesses for the afternoon were Hazel Ehlers, Viola Pfannkuch and LaVina Dethlefs. Sue Ann Stribe was honored at a dinner in the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Stribe on April 7 after her confirmation at the First Methodist Church in Manning. Guests present at the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Danny Anthony and Todd of Newton; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Anthony, Trade and Terry of Arcadia; Mr. and Mrs. Duane Mahnke.
