University of Miami football Hurricane very much at home in a hurricany setting of wind and rain swept to three touchdowns and an amazing 19-0 victory over a favored Texas Tech team Friday night at the Orange Bowl stadium The blustery weather the result we are told of a real tropical disturbance that is stymied somewhere between Cuba and Jamaica may have kept down the crowd to 11337 but it certainly brought out the Hurricane in the Hurricanes With Johnny Noppenberg and Terry Fox snorting and puffing behind a hard-charging line that literally- played rings around a Texas Tech forward wall that is acknowledged to be one of the best in the nation the Miami Hurricane swept down field and across the goal line once each in the second third and fourth quarters Alia mi Pacesetters The a brilliant home-coming Friday night by setting back a favored Ponce de Leon eleven 18-6 scoring all their points in a brilliant first-half offensive The early scoring spree kept the Cavaliers on the defense the entire half Ponce came back in the last half to outplay the Trojans the majority of time scoring their lone marker early in the last quarter on a 63-yard pass Holland to West-bury Lake Worth scored in the opening minutes of the game on a sustaine 52-yard drive A bit later Ponce drew a penalty and the Trojans had a first down on the Cavalier 3-yard line Rabun hit the line for the
