MCDERMOTT, Kevin James December 27, 1955 Detroit October 31, 2019 Calgary It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kevin James McDermott announce his passing after a courageously fought bout with cancer. Kevin was the loving and devoted son of Mary and Jim (d.2015) McDermott. He was born in Detroit, but returned to the UK at a young age with his family.

They then moved to Windsor, Ontario when Kevin was a teenager. He moved to Calgary, Alberta when he was 19 years of age, and forever after that was a Calgarian to the end. Survived by loving partner Aijing Ren, brother Ian, sisters Sheila (Rick) Favero, Kathryn (Brian Janisse), nieces and nephews Michael (Kristi), Tracy, Brian, Natalie (Drew), Victoria (Travis), Carly, Carter and Charlie. Kevin is also survived by many more family members in England, Ireland and across Canada. Kevin had the heart of a champion.

He was a gentleman, principled and fiercely loyal, kind, generous and, above all, devoted to his family. He formed many close and enduring friendships throughout his life. Both he and his family were blessed to receive extraordinary support and care from Dr. Sue; she has our unending gratitude. Kevin's hard work and selfless dedication as a championship boxer, a highly regarded and respected head coach and mentor to countless young boxers during his 40 years of stewardship of The Calgary Boxing Club, leaves a lasting legacy.

He worked for many years as a talented carpenter and locksmith in various hospitals in Calgary. He was very proud to provide skilled carpentry work for family and friends through the years. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Sacred Heart Church, 1307 14th St SW, Calgary at 10:00 a.m. Reception will be held following the Mass at The Rose Crown, 1503 4th St SW starting at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Kevin will be returning home with his family to Windsor, Ontario where a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. He will be laid to rest beside his devoted father and Number 1 boxing fan, Jim McDermott at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would kindly suggest a donation in Kevin's name to The Alberta Children's Hospital. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting leydens.com. OLAH, Alexander 91 years, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his daughter at his side on Monday, November 4, 2019.

Loving husband of the late Mary Olah (2008). Dear father to Randy Olah and his wife Linda, Janice Limanek and her husband Terry, Rick Olah and his wife Nancy. Wise and proud grandfather to Stacey and Joe, Steven and Lisa, Jennifer and Colin, Richard, Katrine and Stephen; great-grandfather to Ashley, Jasmine, Laurenne, Layla, Landon; Gigi Granpa to Ayden, Audrey and Naomi. He was brother-in-law to Florence Smijan, Marie Mogyorody and the late Bob Mogyorody, the late Bill and Helen Mogyordi. Alexander will also be missed by many close cousins.

Family and friends will be received at the Reid Funeral Home Reception Centre, 87 Maidstone Ave. Essex (519-776-4233) on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Alexander's life will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.

Dear father of Laura (late Gary), Richard, Perry (Joan), Brian, the late Rheta and Dianne (Keith).

Grandfather of 10 and greatgrandfather of 9. Survived by sister Beatrice (late Frank) and brother Jim (Mary Ann). Lifelong friend of Cyndi, Roland, John and Conrad. John was a local 700 Iron Worker and worked at Canadian Machinery Movers. He was a long-time volunteer at Iris House.

Visitation will take place at the Victoria Greenlawn Funeral Home (1525 Hwy 3 Oldcastle, ON 519-969-3939) on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 2 p.m. -4 p.m. and 7 p.m. -9 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday, November 8, 2019 from 10 a.m.

Beloved sister-in-law to Elaine (Ken) Finlay, Tim Joiner, and Brian (Claire) Joiner. Dear daughter to the late John and Anne Fekete. Susan will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers. Susan throughout her career was heavily involved in community service. She had a calling for helping people and their families coping with disabilities.

Susan loved to travel with her family and spending time with her dog Lily. Remembered dearly by his children Kathy, Patty Campeau (Cliff Dickson) and Kelly. Cherished papa to 6 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren.

Survived by his brother-in-law Humphrey Rogers and predeceased by his sisters Helen Gillette (Jim), Marylynn Lafond (Bert) and sister-in-law Reta Jackson (Tom). GieenlLHwn Lr, f.i'jLi r.Hu-vijl CONNEL, Kenneth Lloyd Known to friends as "Ken," passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Ken resided in Kingsville, spending his final years in the hands of the caring people at Harrowood Seniors Community Living.

Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Netty (2016). He will be lovingly missed by his children Tim and Terry (Maria). Ken will also be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren, Teri-Lynn, Ryan, Rachel (Jamie), Adam (Meaghan), and Bryan. Predeceased by his siblings Arline (Ken), Jean, and Helen (Jim). Ken will be missed by siblings Roger (Carol) and Les (Penny); brother-in-law Roger (Liz); and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at Kendrick Funeral Home (Kingsville) on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 3 until 7 p.m. A celebration of Ken's life will begin at 7 p.m., officiated by Deacon Andy Labrosse. A private family burial will take place at a later date. At the request of the family, memorial donations may be made to Erie Shores Hospice. mw MILLINOFF, Dr. Stuart It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing our beloved "Doc Stu" on November 4, 2019 at 84 years of age. Dearest father of Dave and wife Loretta, Holly and husband Roger Rolston. Beloved husband of the late Judy Millinoff and loving companion of Jackie Anglin for the past 20 years. Dr. Stu was a widely respected Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Windsor for 35 years. He was a graduate of Assumption College, the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine and residency at Detroit Memorial Hospital.

Longstanding member at Essex Golf and Country Club and the most fashionable dresser around. Thomas Bailey Aldrich PECK, Shirley Louise (nee Devos) Peck, Shirley Louise (nee Devos), passed away peacefully at Metropolitan Hospital on Monday, November 4, 2019. Beloved wife of Bishop Jack Peck of Windsor.

Daughter of the late Louis and Evalynn Devos. Mother of the late John Louis Peck (2003), Sheila Marie Groombridge and David. C. B. Peck.

Mother-in-law to Delwyn Peck, William Groombridge (2006) and Michelle Huminicki. Grandmother of the late Christopher Peck, Michael (Peggy) and Alex Peck, Benjamin and Kevin (Lesley) Groombridge, Ryan and Julia Peck and Josephine Huminicki-Peck. Great-grandmother to William, Lily and Lincoln Groombridge. Shirley loved reading, walks in the woods, plays, symphonies, bicycle riding, canoeing and travelling, especially by train. She volunteered to care for pre-school children and supported many charities.

She enriched the lives of her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren through her patient love and genuine interest and attentiveness. Her love of family and friends knew no bounds. She was the heart and soul of the family. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Metropolitan hospital, Dr. Upneja and for the pastoral care she received.

Donations can be made to Christian Horizons in Windsor-Essex, John and Christopher Fund at Huron University College in London, Ontario and St. Mary's Anglican Church in Windsor, Ontario. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Windsor Chapel (Central location at 1700 Tecumseh Rd. 519-253-7234) on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Visiting will continue from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the time of funeral service at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Windsor on Thursday, November 7, 2019. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Cemetery in Windsor.

MALENFANT, Russell Joseph Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on November 1, 2019 at 89 years of age. Reunited with his beloved wife of 51 years, Geraldine (nee LaRocque, 2010). Russell will be deeply missed by his girlfriend of the last eight years, Joanne Hebert. Will always be remembered by his children, Sue (Dave) Dumouchelle, Russ (Margie) Malenfant, Dan (Diane) Malenfant, Sandy Breitenstein (fiance Norm Mclntyre), Mike (Wendi) Malenfant, and Sharon Guarasci. Cherished Pepe of Dana (fiance Joe), Brittney, Kayla, Mitchell, Ryan (Amy), Lindsay (Casdin), Cody (Carlie), Ashley (Andrei), Justin, Courtney (D.J.), Austin, Blain (Taylor), Dylan, Brandon, Cameron, Adam, Jacob, and Sarah.

Dear Great-Pepe of Makenzie, Rowan, Isla, and Aria. Predeceased by parents Archangel and Thomas Malenfant; siblings Marie Genette, Norman (Dorothy) Malanfant, Gladys (Fred Steirs and Cecil Beckerson), Fran (Al Langlois and Bruce Hamilton), Evelyn (Joe Boismier), and Janette (Ray Reaume). Survived by sister-in-law Dorothy Malenfant (Hank 2013), brother Don (Lorraine) Malenfant, and sister-in-law Babette Malenfant (Ron 2016). Dear brother-in-law of the late Bishop Eugene LaRocque, Dr. Raymond (Jay) LaRocque.

Survived by sister-in-law Edna LaRocque (Ben 2012), Bernadette Morand (Reg 2018). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Russell enjoyed playing cards, gambling, fishing, and watching sports. He was a member of the Windsor Men's Euchre League for over 60 years. A lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Council 4386, and a longtime usher at Christ the King Parish.

Russell worked for Prudential Assurance Company of England approximately 35 years. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus, including Drs. Naidu, Bergeron, Johnson, Sijan and Warwaruk; and Hospice Windsor, where Russell spent his final days. If you so desire, donations can be made to Hospice of Windsor. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2019, from 2:00 p.m.

5:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor 519-969-5841 On Thursday, November 7, family and friends are welcome to gather at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 4401 Mount Royal Drive, at 10:00 a.m.
