Schuylkill County Solicitor Ralph M. Bashore yesterday announced the Schuylkill County Municipal Water Authority Thursday officially took over control of the Pottsville Water Company assets. The transfer took plate at a meeting held at the Fidelity of Philadelphia Trust Company, Philadelphia. Present were officials of the Water Authority, Water Company and the Bonding Company. Representing the Water Author ity were Uzal H.

Martz, chairman, George Morrison, John L. Miller, and Charles Promich, all members of the Authority. The Water Authority opened an account with the Pennsylvania National Bank and Trust Company, Pottsville. The bond issue floated was in the amount of $8,300,000. The cost of the Water Company is in the vicinity of $7,500,000.

Dr. Sheers served in the Army for two years and practiced obstetrics and gynecology at Fort Belvoir, and Munich, Germany. He was discharged with the rank of captain.

yesterday. The former Mary Conahan, she was born in Cranberry, the daughter of the late Patrick and Anna (Welch) Conahan. She resided in West Hazlcton the greater part of her life. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.

Surviving are her husband and the following daughters: Mrs. John (Anetta) Sheerin, at home; Mrs. Eugene (Rose) Collins, Ha-ilcton, and Mrs. John (Beatrice) McElwee, West Hazlcton. There are four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The following brothers and sis-ters also survive: Patrick, James, Mrs. Harold Bates and Miss Theresa Conahan, all of Schenectady, N. and Mrs. John Gabala, Dar-ian. Conn.

The funeral will be held 9:30 a. m. Monday from the Boyle Funeral Home with a solemn mass of requiem in St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 a. m.
