The system which Mr. Robertson is to manage comprises the Western Maryland and West Virginia Central and Pittsburg lines. They figure conspicuously, in the plans of Mr. George Gould for extending the Wabash railroad to the Atlantic coast. "The tender of the position of general manager was made to Mr.

Robertson last week. when he was in Baltimore, and the inducements were such that he could not decline. As general manager he will have full charge of the system.
