THE SUN Thursday, July 22, 1971 Obituaries Lewis J. Garringer, S.B. Lewis J. Garringer, 49, of 1251 Taylor San Bernarlino, died yesterday Fontana hospital. Born in Inliana, he was a nine-year esident.

Norma Harmeyer and Mrs. Elsie Barbee, both of Ohio; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Garringer of Dayton. Services will be held at 10 a.m.

Saturday at the Grove Colonial Mortuary Chapel and burial will be in Montecito Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to favorite charities. Charles R. Clayton, S.B. R.

Clayton, 78, of Charles 324 W. 18th died Sunday San Bernardino. A native of Texas, he was a 43-year esident of San Bernardino. Survivors include his wilow, Zella; a son, L.C., of Bernardino; three San laughters, E.M. Powell and Mrs.

R.A. Studebaker, both of San Bernardino, and Mrs. Howard Cochran, of Colton; three brothers, Floyd of Bridgeport, Yates of Abilene, and G.W. of Breckenridge, seven grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. Services were held yesterday at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Loma Linda.

Burial was in Montecito Memorial Park. Annie Ruth Walls, Fontana Annie Ruth Walls, 58, of 0459 Tamarind Fontana, died, yesterday in a San Bernardino hospital. A native of Georgia, she was a 40-year resident of Fontana. She was he owner and operator of a rest home. She is survived by two laughters, Annabell Clayton and Joyce Soltis, of Fontana; her mother, Ella Burroughs of Glendale; seven brothers, Dewey and Ernie Burroughs, both of Glendale; Curry, of Bakersfield; Frank, of Napa; Robert, of Hemet; Hoyt, of Houston, and Leo, of Meridan, two sisters, Lillian Malmstrom, of Glendale, and Mea Baker of Folsom; and six grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a tomorrow at Ingold Funeral Chapel and burial will be in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Frank E. (Cy) Young, Needles Frank E. (Cy) Young, 70, of 525 S. Needles, died Tuesday in a Los Angeles hospital.

A native of Colorado, he was a 40-year resident of Needles. He was a retired Santa Fe Railroad conductor. He was a member of Needies Lodge No. 326, the Long Beach Scottish Rite; Al Maliakah Shrine Temple of Los Angeles; Needles Elks Lodge No. 1608; and the United Transportation Union.

He is survived by a sister, Ruth Nesbitt of Louisville, and two nieces, Marge Allphen and Phyllis Hoskins, both of Denver. Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Newbry Mortuary Chapel, Needles, and private burial will be River View Cemetery, Needles. John G. Lucas, Needles "John G.

Lucas, 64, of 810 3rd Needles, died Tuesday in Needles. He was a 37-year resident of Needles. He was formerly employed by Pacific Gas Electric Co. of Needles. He was a Catholic.

He is survived by his widow, Mary; two daughters, Mary Sullivan of San Bernardino and Rosalie Kroeber Iva L. Seybert, Iva, L. Seybert, 83, of 17075 Victorville, died Tuesday in a Victorville hospital. Born in Michigan, she was a 20-year resident of Victorville and a 53-year resident of California. She was a life member of Emblem Club No.

259 of Victorville. She is survived by her husSimeon Toney Simeon Toney Kukich, 86, of 16817 Barbee Fon- Jean A. Johnson, Rialto Jean A. Johnson, 45, of 259 W. Cascade Rialto, died Tuesday in a San Bernardino hospital.

She was born in New York City, was an eight-year resident of Rialto and a 25- year resident of California. Survivors include her husband, Leonard: four daughters, Christine, Kathleen, Linda and Patricia, and a son, Wayne, all of Rialto. Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Acheson and Graham Chapel, Fourth, and Main Streets, Riverside. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Riverside.

Jens L. Hansen, San Bernardino Jens Lial Hansen, 77, of 7942. Pedley San Bernardino, died Tuesday in 1 San Bernardino. A native of Iowa, he was a 29-year resident of San Bernardino County and of California. He was a former gardener.

Vera C. Pierce, Alhambra Vera Clementine Pierce, 85, of 708 S. 7th Alhambra, died Monday in Alhambra. She was born in Pennsylvania and was a 28-year resident of Alhambra. Survivors include her husband, Hubert; a daughter, Helen R.

Hansen of El Monte; two sons, Edward of San Bernardino, and Hubert of Omaha, a brother, Theron Alsbach of Colorado; a sister, Ruth Bowerson of Hemet; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Rose Hills Memorial Chapel and burial will be. in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier. William E.

Landis, Yucaipa William Edward Landis, 70, of 35343 Mt. View Yucaipa, died yesterday in Yucaipa. in Indiana, he was a seven resident of Yucaipa a 70-year resident of California. He was affiliated with the Langendorf Bread Co. for 35 years.

He was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his widow, Bee; two daughters, Mrs. Homer J. Tilley of Yucaipa Edwin F. Baker, San Bernardino Edwin F.

Baker, 65, of 3969 La Hacienda, San Bernardino, died Tuesday in a San Bernardino hospital. A native of Michigan, he was a 19-year resident of San Bernardino. He was a 30-year veteran of the Army Air Corps and the executive officer of Civil Air Patrol Squadron No. 31 of San Bernardino. He was a lay leader and member of Emmanuel.

United Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow, Evelyn; two sons, Charles of Austin, and Robert stationed with the USAF in a daughter, Betty Baker of San Bernardino; a sister, Mrs. Wilma Rosso of and one grandson. Services will be held at 2. p.m.

Gary Lawton Denied Trial Site Switch RIVERSIDE (UPI) A Riverside Superior Court Judge refused a change in the site of the trial of black activist Gary Lawton yesterday. Lawton, who is charged with the death of two Riverside policemen who were gunned down in an ambush last April 2, presented evidence supporting the motion to Judge John Neblett last Friday.

Griggs, 50, a Pasadena Republican, will receive $22,584 annually. He succeeds Elmer J. Oberhauser, who has retired. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Fontana and was affiliated with Resurrection Catholic Church of Fontana. Survivors include a niece, Grace Rogish, and a nephew, John Basich, both of Akron, Ohio. Services will be held at 9 a.m. today at Resurrection Catholic Church and burial will be in 1 Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Ingold Chapel is in charge.
