TRIBUNE OGDEN Weber State unveiled a new quarterback Saturday night and he threw a rare Wildcat touchdown pass Now if freshman Brad Otton can Just learn to throw two or three more TDs every game Otton's fourth-quarter TD pass to Pat McNerney Weber's first aerial touchdown in four games came way too late to interfere with Easter Washington's 36-22 Big Sky Conference win in Wildcat Stadium Weber last in the Big Sky in total defense proved its standing by allowing EWU 459 yards Jumor quarieroack Todd Bernett threw for 291 of them including a pair of touchdown passes to Jason Anderson But it was the running of sophomore Daryl Wright that broke the Wildcats down Wright who had only 136 yards rushing in three previous games rolled up 159 yards on 3 2 carries including touch down runs of 1 and 9 yards Despite Otton's shaky start the Wildcats held a 14-10 lead after the first quarter But there were clues to how lopsided the game was At the half EWU had 17 first downs to two for Weber and a yardage lead of 370 to 91 Plus EWU scored 14 unanswered second quarter points It was not so much Otton'a play as it was Wildcat defensive lapses that cosi Weber according to coach Dave Arslanian "You take away two mistakes and it was an even game" said Arslanian whose club dropped to 2-3 overall with its third straight BSC loss The first Bcrnctt'a 73-yzrd scoring bomb to a wide-open Anderson
