PhOBe ess "CODDY" CODDINGTON'S SECOND BIRTHDAY PARTY "Coddy" Coddington (C. C. Jr.) was a princely little host yesterday at a beautiful bitrhday party given him by his parents, at their home on West Morehead.

If "Coddy" knew arthimetic he could express his years in the "2xl-are-2" phraseology, but "Coddy" has his own manner of expressing his age. "How. old are you, Coddy?" was asked. "One and one" was his reply. In a cunning little suit, pants and blouse, of blue linen with white braiding, Coddy "received" his guests.

His hair was unusually curly and beautiful, his eyes bright with merriment and happiness and in all "he was just the cutest, prettiest kiddo imaginable. He is not only a beautiful baby but as bright as he is beautiful, and has the cutest way of talk one ever heard. He is lionized on South Tryon street. Coddy cannot only play In the roll of birthday host, but is also master of the whip, handling the ribbons well over his diminutive steed "Jeff," Master Lee Folger having the companion piece, The party marking Coddy's second mile on the bright pilgrimage which Dame Fortune surely must have in store for him, was just lovely. Mrs.

Coddington had all things beautiful and good for the children future men of Charlotte. Besides ices, cakes, candies, and fruits, there were favors, or souvenirs, many popping pistols, snapping pistols (the guests all being boys), balls, horns, and all kinds of toys that a boy would like. The only difficulty of the afternoon was when- the host preferred some other fellow's pistol to his own, but the peace was establish- $1.98 We place on sale two hun-' dred Wash Skirts made of good quality Pique fine and large wale, also fancy cord novelty pockets and belt. of Virginia, dental department, in 1912. Mail orders filled prompt After Suffering for 15 Years He Finds a Friend in Tanlac. Offers Strong Statement. One of the strongest indorsements ever offered to Tanlac was made a few days ago by. A.

O. Kiff Deputy of the Woodmen of the World. Mr. Kiff is one of the best known and best liked fraternal men in North Carolina. For the past six years he has ably handled some of the more important destinies of the Woodmen of the WTorld in 16 counties of ihli state.

He says: "For fifteen years I have been searching long and hard for a friend amons medicines and at last my hopes have found themselves in Tanlac. I had indigestion so bad that sometimes 1 would have to stop work and be carried heme. "Seven years ago in Raleigh, where I went to attend the Grand Lodge of Masrns, I was taken with an attack. I wa5 placed on a train and rushed to my home in Ahoskie. The conductor told me then that he feared I wouldn't reach my destination alive.

Ever since I have suffered from digestion that is until a short time ago when I began on Tanlac. For fifteen, years I was troubled with nervousness and in all that time I tried all kinds cf medicines but failed to find one that would relieve me. "Doctors told me I had indigestion of the worst form. I had to diet myself and could not eat cabbage or other foods that I am fond of. "Now, I find a great improvement in my condition.

I don't feel any more indigestion trouble, can sleep sound, and eat cabbage or any other food and without suffering distress afterwards. I think Tanlac the greatest medicine in the world." Tanlac is sold in Charlotte, exclusively by the Jordan Drug and in North Charlotte, by the Gamble Drug Co. There is a Tanlac druggist in every town. Adv. The House of Taylor ly.
