Mr. James Mitchel, at the old stand of Amos Rogers. The Fourth of July. are of course to have a "Fourth of July and it will be here in four weeks. And the question is.

Shall we duly celebrate it We have had in this country a new birth of freedom. We have come triumphantly out of a great four-years struggle. We have maintained and perpetuated the independence which our forefathers so grandly proclaimed on July Fourth, 1776. Would itnotbe wellfor us to revive the good old institution The Fourth of July as our fathers made it Would it not be well for us to perpetuate it and observe it? and revere it and celebrate it? What say the people of Greene County, and especially those of Xenia? Let us have a grand celebration this year an old-fashioned jubilee a grand Xational holiday in which to kiudle anew the fires of freedom, to celebrate our country's glorious victory, and to take once more the vow of fidelity to our native land. The people in various places are making preparations to duly celebrate the Fourth this year.
