West German fugutive Kristina Berster to nine months in prison Wednesday for crossing the US-Canadian border illegally last July paving the way for her release from a New York City correctional center in 16 days However Berster "may remain incarcerated after her sentence expires under a US Immigration and Naturalization Service administrative detainer If that happens her lawyers intend to request a low bail The 28-year-old woman who was found guilty of three felony counts and two misdemeanors for her border escapade after a month-long jury trial in October also will be on probation for five
