exhibition at Breese Loomis Co's store on the second floor These machines are to the eye what the phonograph is to the ear In other words a series of photographs of a horse-race broncho bucking conflagration or whatever it may be is produced on a film some 40 feet in length This film revolves past the point of vision at a rate of speed great enough tq bring 46 different photographs to view each second a shutter revolving very rapidly cuts out by mcaus of a slit each photograph so that the observer secs a continuous performance or conflagration exactly as it occurred when photographed and so accurately that he really gets more detail than he would in witnessing the Wal thing Like all of inventions the kinetoscope is extremely simple but none the less wonderful on that account Each machine is valued at $350 and can be built for less than $50 Card of Thanks To all those kind friends who by their sympathy and kindness to our son and brother and to us have lessened the grief which
