By The Associated Press Accidents, violence and the elements took at least 35 lives in Texas during the three-day holiday period ending Thursday night. Scores were injured. Twenty-eight of the deaths were in traffic accidents; a horse dragged one man to death: a woman died of burns and another was shot fatally.

A tornado killed three persons; another was found dead from exposure and many of the traffic ac- cidents were attributed to rains which made hazardous. Leon Twister Mr. and Mrs. George Franklin and their daughter, Bernice, were killed when a twister demolished their home in Leon county. Mrs.

G. A. Scott was found dead of gunshot wounds in her home at Gainesville. Mrs. T.
