A resident of Baytown since 1948 and a Baytown Refinery employe since 1945, Heinie Schuble has carried well the brand of "big leaguer" since he nailed his spikes to the wall and retired. Heinie's professional career began in 1925 when at Mount Pleasant in East Texas League. In July 1927 just a little over a month after Heinie had claimed a bride at home plate in the Danville ball park, Tom Thevenow, one of the greatest of St.

In 1929 the Cardinals le- Heinie slip away, and he war grabbed by the Detroit Tigers tfe spent the 1929 season witl Detroit and the 1930 and 193" seasons at Detroit's prize farm Beaumont. In 1931 Heinie was back at Detroit arid remained with the Ti gers through 1S35, being a mem ber of their two championship teams in 1934 and 1935. Heinie left the majors and once more wore the livery of the Houston Buffs, but when they decided to sell him to New Orleans, Heinie decided he'd had and later became a Baytown Oiler. And now he's returning to the Astrodome for another brief but colorful appearance in the Old Timers' game. Sunday, July 26, 1931, was 3 memorable day in the career of Heinie Schuble.

Mr. and Mrs. Schuble live at 1802 Florida. Their principal diversions now are two. One is Heinle's fishing, and he goes in for it as he once did baseall all out.
