Johnston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow A. Johnston, also of Curwensviile. Miss Brubaker is a 1976 graduate of Curwensville Area High ond is attending Pennsylvania State University at the DuBois Campus.

AAr. Johnston is a 1972 graduate of Curwensville Area High and a 1976 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has a bachelor degree in criminology and is employed with the Pennsylvania Slate Liquor Control Bocrd. VOViS recently in the West Side United Methodist Church of Ueanield were Marsha Jo Luzier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Marshall Luzier, Philipsburg, and James A. Nelson, son of Mrs. Mabel Nelson. Clearfield, and the late Clyde Nelson. The Rev.

John W. Saaffl was officiant for the double ring ceremonv. Miss Geraldine Bickford was the organist and Andrea Turner, the soloisL was held in the Saddle Club of West Decatur. Music was provided by The Inpersons. The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father.

She wore a white silk organza gown with reem-broidered Venice lace appliques highlighted with seed pearls and crystals. The gown was styled with a wedding ring neckline, full bishop sleeves and back-fulness flowing into a cathedral-length train of Venice lace edged with a silk organza ruffle. Pale pink ribbon accented the natural waistline and encircled the train. Her fintertip veil of bridal illusion trimmed with lace was held in place by a Camelot of Venice lace, seed pearls and crystals. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, miniature carnations, snow-flake mums and stephanotis, accented with trailing ivy and lace streamers.

Mrs. Lyla Welker. cousin of the bride, was matron of honor and chose a pink chiffon over taffeta gown featuring a wedding ring neckline and long full sleeves. The natural waistline was accented with a back bow and long streamers. A ruffled chiffon band with seed pearls held her veil, and she carried MSSr Bridesmaids were Mrs Karen Brown, Mrs.

Lynette Timko and Lovie Spangler. all friends of the bride. Their dresses and headpieces were identical to the matron of honor's in the colors of blue, yellow and lavender respectively. They carried bouquets of spring flowers with ribbons to match their gowns. Mandy Nelson was the flower girl and Jennifer Lidgett carried the rings.

They were attired in mint green floor-length dresses of chiffon over taffeta accented at the waistlines with back bows and satin ribbons. Their headpieces with short veils matched their gowns. Miss Nelson carried a basket of spring flowers. The bridegroom's brother, Charles Nelson, was best man. Ushers were Kenneth Nelson, another brother, and -V Kolesar.

in the Clearfield Holiday Inn. Members met for lunch at the Inn prior to the meeting. Mrs. Alfred E. Goehringer, regent, welcomed the members and introduced a new member.

Mrs. Marv Belle Keagle Zold of Pittsburgh. Mrs. Harry Pooler read the President General's message which expressed praise and appreciation for the part many chapters have played in celebrating our nations 200th Birthday. She was pleased that the Centennial celebrations have been mainly local ones conducted by home town people.

In the absence of Mrs. Frederic Shroeder. Mrs. Goehringer read the report from the National Defender. The message for Constitution Week was read by-Mrs.

Knee. It related how the representatives from the 12 colonies worked for weeks to write the Constitution which was later ratified by the states. The regent announced that the Oct 19 meeting would be a program with pictures of Alaska by the Rev. M. Dale Dickey, pastor, of the Cur-w i 1 1 United Presbyterian Church.

Hostess for the meeting was Mrs. Joseph J. Peters. Penn State Establishes New Majors UNIVERSITY PARK Four revised academic majors have been established in the College of Agriculture at The Pennsylvania State University, all of them leading to the bachelor of science degree. The majors involve revision of existing programs, explains Dr.

James M. Beattie. dean of the College. Therefore, it has been possible to establish them without additional funding and within current budget allocations. The new- majors in animal production and in dairy production replace a major in animal industry and they will be administered by the Department of Dairy and Animal Science.

The animal production major provides an integrated program of study in the areas of production and management of beef cattle, horses, sheep and swine, while the dairy production major will meet the needs of students seeking career opporunities in the dairy cattle and related agribusiness industries. A new major of entomology, to be administered by the Department of Entomology, will draw its primary enrollment from students in existing majors. It is concerned with the study of insects and the management of insect populations. The other major, poultry technology and management, provides an integrated program of study in the biological and business aspects of poultry, including gamebird production. It will be administered by the Department of Poultry Science and will draw its primary enrollment from students in existing majors and the phased out animal industry major.

FFA Plans For Work Program CURWENSVILLE There were 22 members present at Cunvensville Future Fa -mers of America F. F. meeting held Wednesday, Sept 22 at the Curwensville Area High School. After the officers conducted the opening ceremony, the chapter began implementing the 1976-77 work program. It was announced that the FFA chapter will study and revise its constitution, fund raising activities were referred to the fund raising committe dues were set for next year.

Following the meeting the members participated in recreation in the gymnasium. Refreshments were supplied by the officers.
