Sept. of the Farms Security administration office serving the dust and drouth areas in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado. New Mexico and Kansas report "surprising" collections of rehabilitation loans made farmers and ranchers.

The report said drouth and the grasshopper plague caused short crops in some of the area and that dust injured crops in 13 of the 120 counties in the district.
