WPiWWvWlWWmill liinWWIWWIwWlliJ JMWi HlfWHWWI mlW in i ilHWffuW1 ny n-rmfiiirifti-n-i CENTRAL STATE COLLEGE Newsletter A Great School Needs A Great Alumni Association vnr-ii'yA CVT -y 5- i i''jyiwg'i''i-W iqWnwwwW BMpgnwywi'W' a VOL XVII No 7 EDMOND OKLAHOMA April 1900 Radio KCSC Signs On At Central The educational station of Central State College KCSC signed on the air for the first time at 4 pan Monday April 4 1 906 Tune in KCSC at 881 on the FM dial The station is on the air from 4 until 10 pan Monday through Friday and has a signal strength of ten watts News is broadcast at 4:55 and 5:25 on the Bulletin Board show Music programming presently features an evening concert from 8 to 10 The station broadcasts from the old Administration building now the Language Arts and Humanities building with studios in the former presidential office suite Voice of the college KCSC does not intend to compete with commercial radio stations It is primarily here to suit the needs and it will provide valuable experience for students from all departments A retired businessman and CSC graduate of 1909 Homer Johnson Duncan Oklahoma donated $25000 to Central State College for the broadcasting station Another Central State alumnus Collins BS MT joined the (CSC faculty in the fall of 1965 and is now director of radio KCSC provides live coverage of college activities when possible Baseball games are over by the time the station signs on however football and basketball games will be broadcast next fall Homecoming and Alumni Day events also will be on the air!
