John Woods. A. A. Pearson, the popular Kansas City milliner, who lives on his beauti ful country place adjoining Merriam Park, has just returned from a two weeks' business trip to Mew York. Mr.

Pearson was caught ill the terrific snow storm that recently swept over the east, but aside from this he reports a pleasant journey. He says that business is much more livelier in the west than in the east especially so with the railroads, who are doing a very light business. In returning home over the Erie rail road he was the only through passen-- ger from New York to Chicago. Young went to Brown 'county last week to conduct the funeral 'of a prominent member of the Lutheran church in that county. The young people of Round Oak have begun their rehearsals for an excellent play, which they will present to the public in the near future. The young people of Bellflower Grange organized a literary club last Saturday night to which all members of the order are urged to attend and as far possible participate in the work.
