TWENTY THE I POST, A 1970. BOY AND GIRL --By ROUSON Passing Show --By Fred Russell Fast-Moving Comotfy On Westport Stage A (asl-pacert romantic comedy is on the boards at HIP Country Plnyhmiso this week. The show is "Booing-Boemfj," and the star is Vnn Johnson. II Is one of those rare plays (lint never lags into dull moments -it constantly swings jet speed. The set by John Pitts is the first tip that the evening will he lively.

It has seven doors. And in a romantic farce doors generally play quite a part in keeping the action rolling and suspenseful. And the doors in this play gel plenty of use. And the comedy on Ihe stage overflows right into the theater program, which says the action takes place in an apartment "in New York city." Actually the apartment in question is located in Paris and is occupied by a bachelor, Johnson, whose speciality is romancing airline hostesses. At the time of the play he has three regulars from different airlines, who stay at his apartment during their Paris stopover.

And each thinks she is tlie only girl. Johnson keeps them separated, and thereby happy, by a close study of the airlines schedules. But as faster planes are intro- duced i passenger service, the airline schedules undergo revision and. as the viewer mi- licipatcs, all Ihren p.iils land in Paris on the same a That is when those seven come in mighty handy. And the play ends i all involved bc-iiiK happy.

Dorothy Hnimi'i son, Sarah Sanders and Lary.ssa Laurel purl ray the pvelly Iwstcssrs, each rif whom expects In he- i Johnson's wife. They gcocl performances and i ute largely to Ihe evening's fim. Johnson seems tn have a ball this roll of a triple-dealins (love cad and he mucU of il. The only other male in i casl is Peter Pagan, who plays! Johnson's British friend or i school days. Pagan drops i Johnson's Paris a a just at a time when he is really needed to help cope i a ro- a i i a i that is Celling beyond solo control.
