Charred human remains found recently in a box near Yosemite Falls and murder theories which brought park rangers, police and University of California experts actively into an investigation, were explained tonight. Park officials stated they had received a letter from the man who said the remains were those of his sister.

They refused to disclose the mans name, but said that he lived in California, and that his family was prominently identified with the early history of Yosemite. His letter told of his bringing the ashes to the park nine years ago in hopes of burying them beside those of another sister, bnried there many years before Yosemite was a national park. He feared the government would refuse permission -for the burial, so had left the box of ashes under a pine tree until he should have an opportunity to place them In the old forgotten cemetery by night. With one model of the new transformer range of from 200 to 5,000 meters is provided, while on the other model a range of from 5,000 to 25,000 meters is obtained. In the circuit shown the antenna is turned the wave length of the desired signal and this signal is amplified through the primary of a standard receiving set connected to the plate circuit of the last radio frequency amplifier tube. It is then transferred through the secondary circuit to the detector tube, in which regeneration may be accomplished and controlled as desired.

One decided advantage of using this circuit is that oscillations in the detector tube circuit cannot find way back through the radio frequency amplifier to the antenna circuit. This prevents the antenna from radiating energy, preventing a common source of interference between several receiving sets located near another. If potentiometer R-3 is not used the filament rheostat should bd placed In the positive leg of the filameflt circuit instead of the negative. The circuit within the dashed line is a standard regenerative circuit.
