strange to ask those who wish to enter fall classes and clubs that organization to register in April However as general secretary of the local association I will open the educational and extension class and club registration books for all departments on Monday April 2 With the large numbers this year and the present building and equipment it has been absolutely Impossible to take all the girls into clubs and classes who have desired to enter In order to get tho use of different meeting rooms in the city to secure adequate accommodations for next year's work we shall begin plans now for the renting of such places First Aid This winter the association has conducted two first aid classes under the National Red Cross The classes have been just as large as could be accommodated in the present quarters The plan now is to allow all pupils who were in these two first aid classes to enter a department of the association to be opened in tho fall known as the of Elementary Hygiene and Home Care of the this to be under the auspices of the American National Red Cross The object of this course is to teach women personal and household hygiene The association believes that preparedness developed in this course will be of great importance to Fresno households as well as for use in behalf of our country at large In order that all preliminary work may be done now all women and girls over sixteen years of age wishing to enter these classes are requested to register in April Take Precedence The registrations made now are to be given acceptance over those made in the fall in case there is the overcrowding of all classes as there has been this year New first aid classes especially for business women will begin October 1 and will consist of a course of twelve lessons based on woman's edition of the American Red Cross text book on first aid Ten lectures must be attended in order to enter for Red Cross examinations There will be fifteen lectures in the course on Hygiene and
