Bullard of Middle Brook drive, Fairlield, was married to Robert Stewart Hafner, son of Walter Alfred Hafner of Defray Beach, formerly of Darien and the late Mrs. Millicent Horlon Hafner yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the New Canaan United Methodist church.

Mrs. Bruce Simmons of New Haven was matron of honor and Mrs. Arthur Congdon of Darien and Miss Victoria Staunton of New Canaan also attended the bride, David Reeves of New Canaan served as best man with Sfanforth Forbes of this city and Arthur Congdon of Darien ushering the guests. Jennifer Howard and Sarah Taylor of New Canaan were flower girls. A reception fallowed in the Jonathan Sturges cottage, Fairfield, home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs.

Annie Sturges Bullard. When the couple return from Bermuda, they will live in New Canaan. The bride attended, Ursulinc College for Women in Cleveland, where she received a BA, Fairfield university her master's degree a Montessori center in New Jersey for her AMI Montessori Teaching degree. She is on the staff of the Childs Work center in Norwalk. Her great-great- grandfather, Jonathan Sturges built (he.

"cottage" in 1S40. He was a promoter of the Illinois Central railroad and a founder and president of the Union League club. His grandfather, Jonathan Sturges was a member of the 1st and 2nd Congresses, 1789-1793 from Fairfield, and a judge of the Stale Supreme Court from 1793 to 1S05.
