Mr. Rosenberg was one of 36 select judges, among a totnl of 1881 licensed by the American Kennel club, eligible to judge all 118 breeds registered with organization. He began his dog show judging career in 1910 at the age ol 17, and since that time, a judged more than 1,000 shows He officiated at all iht majoi U.S.

dog competitions and a at cyents in Great Britain, Canada, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. His (trst best-in-the-show assignment was 50 years ago at a Long Island dog show. Mr. Rosenberg was presented the 1972 "Fido" award as Man of the Year in Che canine show and breeding fietd. He had also received Fido awards as judge of the year in 1946, 1947, and 1948.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Rosenberg was a Wilton resident 35 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War 1. He was a co-owner of the Toby House antiques business, Wilton.

He is survived by a nephew and four nieces. Hartford Man Dies In Chute Failures A Mass. (AP) A sports parachutist died Saturday at the Orange Parachuting Center when his main chute malfunctioned and his reserve failed to open properly. State police identified the victim as Randolph A. Dickey, 18, of Hartford, a veteran of more than JOG jumps.

Authorities said Dickey jumped from a plane at about 2,500 feet and when he pulled liis main parachute, it flared out behind him hut failed to open. He then pulled his emergency chute, police said, but it ca rn angl ed in he ri p- cord from the main chute and in. the harness he was wearing. A spokesnmn for the parachute center said (he death was the second in the facility's 15 years of operation.
